About Me

I was born and raised in Minnesota, having spent many of my childhood days running around with a camera strapped around my neck. I've always loved the artform – the value, the emotion, and the technical aspect of how a photograph is created; I'd sit in a library for hours looking at other artists published works and dream of the day I might go on some expedition to some far away land to be a part of creating a story.

Fast forward a couple dozen years, and I've begun to realize that dream - establishing my studio was the first step! I love seeing people develop a sense of belonging when they look a certain photograph – the emotion and body language in them imagining it taking them somewhere – it pulls me back to my childhood and I vicariously see a little bit of my own sense of being as a result. A little indulgent? Perhaps, but I find it supportive of helping others share that dream too :-D

• I'm a hockey fan, but I don't know anything about the sport
